Hey guys, hope you all had a lovely weekend! I managed to pop over to Brixton market on Saturday, to do a mass fruit and veg shop just to give my health kick a head start. So many fruits, so little time!
Before I was there, I’d heard a lot of noise to do with a little pizza place in Brixton’s Market Row called Franco Manca, so decidedly to have a visit to see what the fuss was about – and it definitely didn’t disappoint!
I got the meat special, which was rocket, aubergine and bacon, with an organic lemonade. And the other pizza was no.6 on the menu, which consisted of tomato, chorizo and mozzarella with a ‘no-label’ lager. Honestly, one of the best pizzas I had a long while! A lot of the produce they use is organic, so it was great to eat out and not feel massively guilty.
While roaming the market stalls, we stumbled upon POP Brixton. It’s just opened up this summer and for those of you that have been to Shoreditch, it’s very BOXPARK-esque. They had a huge screen showing the football and loads of little areas over two floors that you could grab a bite to eat or have a drink/smoothie.
It’s right near Brixton main line station, so not hard to miss. It’s also free to go in, and the vibe is so chilled. Something to try out if you’re down this way.
