For anyone um-ming and ahh-hing whether to jump down the rabbit hole at Waterloo vaults, I would push them. Not only is this a theatre experience like no other, its also willing you to let your inhibitions go. I’ve been to previous immersive theatre before, but this was a whole other kettle of fish. You aren’t on the side lines watching, you’re involved. My favourite scene would 100% have to be the mad hatters tea party. You can buy a ‘drinks voucher’ before the play starts then redeem in when you get inside. I went for the cocktail, but there’s a choice of wine and non-alcoholic drinks too. The actors talk to you as though you’re part of this great occasion, and you’re the reason this nonsensical adventure can continue.
After weaving your way through this maze like set up, you’re invited to the ‘queens garden’ for flamingo croquet, a live band and cocktail concoctions. They also have a gif photo booth set up, so hours of endless fun – if you like taking silly photos of yourself like me.
Great date night spice up, or even with friends and family. Running till the end of August, so grab your tickets before its too late.
