Yesterday evening I had the absolute pleasure of going to the top floor of The Gherkin for dinner and drinks. For August they’ve transformed the top 2 floors into a Moroccan riad, equipped with themed cocktails and cuisine. We went for the deluxe cocktail package, which allowed us to have 2 cocktails each and 3 smalls plates (homemade falafel, tahini / fried calamari, harissa mayonnaise / baba ganoush, crisp pitta) between us. The food was nice but nothing too special. However, the picture perfect view of London more than made up for it.
We got so lucky with where we were sat. I’m going to say best seats in the house hands down, with Tower bridge and The Shard literally right in front of us. The only this that would’ve made this better was if the sun set in between them both. But, hey, I’m definitely not complaining!
The views were incredible with a 360 degree panoramic view of London. If you’re after the wow factor, this is it.
Hope you all had a great Saturday 🙂
