Almond Butter – Recipe

Almond butter with apple slices is one of the easiest, healthiest and tastiest things to snack on, and it’s so easy to make!

All you need is a cup of almonds and how ever many apples you fancy eating, I usually go for 2.

First you roast the almonds in the oven for 10 mins until they just start to brown. This makes it easier to break down in the food processor.

After leaving to cool for 10 minutes, put the almonds into a food processor and whizz for a few minutes till they start to crumble and look like this…

Then whizz the almonds again for a further 10 mins. While waiting for almonds to reduce into a creamy liquid, cut up your apples.

When you go back to check on your almonds, they should look like this…

When the almonds get broken down they release an oil which helps it stick together. This is how we get the above. It just look so good!

Then put it all together and viola! The healthiest, tastiest snack around!
